This training is for any staff that carry out work at Customer Sites.

About this course:

This E-Learning training covers the key areas of Health and Safety that employees are legally required to be trained in when carrying out work at Customer Sites.

This course has been developed using HSG261 – Health and Safety in Motor Repair and Associated Industries, as well as specific Industry Guidance (INDG), Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP) and Regulations relevant to the industry.

This course will provide you with information, instruction and training about the correct procedures you must follow to protect your personal safety and the safety of others that may be affected by your activities when working at Customer Sites.

This e-learning module will cover:

  • Hazards Present at Customer Sites – This section highlights the hazards that staff are exposed to whilst carrying out work at Customer Sites and H&S legislation that applies.
  • Preparations at Depot and Customer Sites – This covers employee responsibilities for preparing to work at Customer Sites.
  • Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) & Permits To Work (PTW) – This section covers how tasks should be conducted and precautions to follow.
  • Lone Working Arrangements – This section explains the steps to protect Lone Workers
  • Dynamic Risk Assessments – This section covers the considerations to have when carrying out Dynamic Risk Assessments.

Learning Outcomes

  • You will gain an awareness of the hazards you will face when working at Customer Sites.
  • You will understand the importance of preparing for working at Customer Sites and what measures should be in place including equipment checks and what documentation to take.
  • You will be aware of the precautions that must be in place and how tasks should be carried out whilst at a Customer Sites. This will include an example of tasks that should not be carried out.
  • You will gain an understanding of Dynamic Risk Assessments and the considerations you should have to ensure that health and safety is maintained throughout the duration of the task you are carrying out.
