About this course:

Falls from height the biggest causes of workplace fatalities in the UK, accounting for over a quarter of all workplace fatalities. Working at Height is also a major cause of serious and other injuries with over 43,000 non-fatal accidents. Despite these high figures, falls from height can be avoidable with a bit of care, planning and attention to detail.

This training looks at the requirements of The Working at Height Regulations 2005 and also looks at best practice suggestions from HSE guidance. It covers the dangers of Working at Height and what employees can do to reduce the likelihood and consequences of accidents when working at height in commercial vehicle workshops.

This e-learning module will cover:

  • Working at Height Regulations – This gives an insight in to the requirements of The Working at Height Regulations 2005.
  • Working at Height Activities & Equipment – This looks at the different tasks and equipment that employees may use to conduct work at height.
  • Working at Height Hazards, Risks & Control Measures – This section covers how it can go wrong and what the consequences can be when working at height. It also looks at the Hierarchy of Controls for working at height to help ensure that tasks can be conducted safely.

Learning Outcomes

  • You will gain an understanding of the Working at Height Regulations
  • You will be aware of activities that you conduct that involve working from height. You will also be aware of what equipment is available to help you conduct the work safely and what checks are required on the equipment.
  • You will understand the Hierarchy of Controls for working at Height and what control measures you should put in place to protect you and others when carrying out any tasks that require you to work from height.

Course Completion

At then end of this course you will be required to complete a multiple choice assessment based on the information provided and what you have learned.

You will need to pass the assessment within this course to ensure successful completion. The pass mark is 80%

You will have a maximum of 3 attempts to reach the required pass mark. You can revisit the course content if you need to before attempting the assessment again.

Once the assessment has been passed, you will be issued with a certificate.

The certificate will be issued by Inspire International UK Ltd, the UK’s leading health and safety management company focusing on vehicle workshop safety. The certificate will clearly show your name; your company name; name of course taken; pass percentage; expiry date and any applicable course accreditation marks.
